Business Requirements

Friends of the Lake District needed a new IT Support Provider who could commit to the high levels of support, advice and customer care they needed.

The charity needed a trusted partner who could support them to get their IT up to scratch so that it could support the great work they do protecting the Cumbrian landscape.

Outcomes & Benefits

iTEK have delivered a consistently high-quality support service for Friends of the Lake District, which has acted as a foundation on which significant improvements to the charity’s IT systems have been built.

Support has been delivered both through a highly-responsive Helpdesk and through constant remote monitoring by cloud-based RMM tools – ensuring that the service iTEK deliver is both proactively vigilant and, where necessary, reactively responsive.

At point of onboarding, iTEK delivered a full Audit of all IT infrastructure in place – both on premise and in the Cloud – to underpin a bespoke proposal and ongoing plan tailored to the charity’s specific needs. Since, iTEK have migrated the organisation’s emails to cloud hosting, as well as implementing cloud-based file storage and collaboration. Most recently, iTEK delivered a softphone-based hosted voice solution to enhance the reliability of communications across the team.

Friends of the Lake District
iTEK listen to our business needs and provide appropriate and effective solutions which aid the efficiency of the charity. Improved network stability and iTEK’s ability to resolve issues at operational and structural levels in a timely manner have made a huge difference right across the organisation.

Prior to working with iTEK, we had poor infrastructure, ageing hardware and an unstable network – our previous IT provider consistently let us down despite promises to improve the service. Since we gave iTEK a chance to take over our contract, we haven’t looked back.
