Business Requirements
Laker Legal came to iTEK off the back of a recommendation in their search for a new IT Service Provider, following the departure of their in-house provision.
This was an important decision for the firm, whose modern approach has been built on a successful and reliable remote working solution – making partnering with the right IT company truly business critical.
Outcomes & Benefits
iTEK worked closely with Laker Legal to understand their support requirements and implemented a bespoke provision to match these. As part of the initial auditing work iTEK completed, the firm’s server infrastructure was identified as being end-of-life, making addressing this a high priority for our partnership.
Considering the hybrid working practices Laker Legal already had in place, iTEK, through close consultation with the client, as well as a comprehensive audit, concluded that the best course of
action was to instigate a total migration of all IT services to the Cloud.
iTEK carried out a seamless migration, implementing an Office 365 email solution with Sharepoint
file sharing and collaboration, all connected to Microsoft Teams. To reinforce this comprehensive Microsoft Cloud package, iTEK implemented a business-grade Anti- Virus solution and have supported the business to achieve Cyber Essentials certification.
More recently, Laker Legal’s O365 email solution has been enhanced with an AI- based spam filtering system. This service eradicates 99.9% of email-borne malicious content, feeding into a cyber security architecture which matches Laker Legal’s utmost standards of professionalism for handling client data and communications.
